A small town run with big heart.

The Castleton Clove Run was started by Ken Morgan and a group of his college friends, who shared a love of running. Ken passed away from cancer early last year, but his legacy lives on through his hometown race.

Choose between two races: our fast and flat 5k through the village of Castleton, or the fan favorite challenging 10 mile course. The 10 miler takes you on a scenic run through the village, out to the greater Schodack area and up the steep hill from which the race gets its name, before a fun finish at the local elementary school. Both courses are USATF certified.

Join us at the finish line for refreshments donated by local businesses, and an awards ceremony honoring the top 3 male and female finishers of each race, as well as the top 3 males and females in each 5 year age group.

The Clove Run has been graciously sponsored by the Castleton Kiwanis for much of its run, and most of the hard work put into race preparation and race day enjoyment, is due to its members.

The Clove Run benefits the local food pantry, the Anchor, which has been helping local families in need since 1989. Last year through our efforts we were able to donate a check totaling $4,550.
